Job description

We build an AI-powered Energy Management System (EMS) that helps energy-intensive businesses reduce costs, CO₂ and grid congestion. Backed by leading investors such as Speedinvest and Hitachi Ventures, and with customers such as DHL, we have built a strong base across the Benelux. We are now entering Germany

🔥The challenge

Year one is about proving Tibo belongs in the German market. That means:

  • Defining where we play: get our positioning right for German regulatory and market realities

  • Landing our initial product offering in Germany: then building from there, with the full platform to follow as the market opens up

  • Owning the full B2B sales cycle: defining who we go after, generating pipeline, and closing the first deals yourself

  • Securing the first 2–4 lighthouse customers: the kind that become long-term references, not just logos

  • Building the ecosystem around it: utilities, aggregators, energy service providers who open doors you can't knock on cold

  • Being Tibo's spokesperson: at relevant German industry events

  • Sending back what you learn: how the market is moving, where competitors are, what the product needs to win

  • Laying the foundation: building the commercial base for a future German team

Job requirements

🎯 You’ll thrive in this role if:

✔️ You've sold (complex) SaaS in Germany and closed deals yourself, not handed them off to a closer.

✔️You've been an early commercial hire at a startup and know what it takes to build from scratch: pipeline, market presence, or both

✔️ You have direct experience selling to industrial, manufacturing, or logistics buyers. You understand how these organisations make decisions and who the real stakeholders are

✔️ Strategically, you can zoom out. Operationally, you do the work yourself. There's no one to delegate to here, and that doesn't bother you, it's actually what you're looking for.

✔️ You're comfortable not having all the answers on day one. You move anyway.

✔️ You're ready to be the first Tibo face in Germany, with everything that comes with that: the freedom, the ambiguity, and the chance to build something from the ground up.

Native German is essential. Fluent English too.
