Job description

We build an AI-powered Energy Management System (EMS) that helps energy-intensive businesses reduce costs, CO₂ and grid congestion. With customers such as DHL and a strong base across the Benelux, we are now entering Germany. 

Germany is not the Netherlands. The regulatory framework, grid constraints and energy market are fundamentally different. We have built a proven EMS platform, a commercial playbook and reference customers. What we do not yet have is someone who understands the German energy market and wants to take ownership of conquering it with us. Your challenge is to build this market. 

🔥The challenge

In year one, your job is to prove that Tibo has a place in the German market. You’re welcome to challenge our thinking, but to give you direction, we believe successful market entry requires:

  • Defining where we play: you'll adapt our positioning to German regulatory and market realities;

  • Building qualified pipeline: Not volume. Quality. The kind of pipeline that leads to lighthouse customers who become long-term references and open the next ten doors;

  • Securing the first 2–4 lighthouse customers: You’ll turn those customers into long-term references;

  • Opening the right doors: you’ll decide where ecosystem partnerships truly create leverage, and make the connection;

  • Feeding insights back into Tibo: You are our eyes and ears in Germany. Think about product positioning, regulatory shifts, and competitor moves; you’ll feed these market insights back into HQ;

  • Laying the foundation: If Germany works, you will have built the commercial foundation for a future German team.

What you prioritise first, and why, is something we want to understand from you.

What this role is not:

This is not a role for someone who wants a defined territory, a mature pipeline, and a clear quota on day one. We are building that together.

Job requirements

🎯 You’ll thrive in this role if:

✔️ You have worked in or closely with the German energy/manufacturing or logistics landscape;

✔️ You understand how structured, risk-aware organisations make decisions, and who the real stakeholders are;

✔️ You are comfortable being the first. No team, no established brand in this market, no clear playbook on day one;

✔️ You think strategically but execute personally. In this role, there is no one else to hand things off to. You define the plan and deliver it;

✔️ You are decisive under ambiguity and take ownership without waiting for perfect clarity;

✔️ You want responsibility early and are willing to earn it.

What your background likely looks like: You probably have 5–10 years of experience, with a meaningful portion of that inside or directly adjacent to German industrial energy, manufacturing, or grid-related environments. The exact title doesn't matter. The network and market understanding do.

Fluent German and English are essential.
